Our first set of Spring classes are underway and doing well.  Our second set will start on various dates throughout May.  Be sure to visit us at intoyoga.ca to find all our locations and classes.

Talking of Spring, as you get into spring cleaning mode, don't forget your body needs a good spring cleanse too.  We've got some tips to help get you started and achieve your health goals.

I love practicing different Yoga sequences.  I've included a series in this newsletter I thought you might like too.  Feel free to change it up and take as many rests as you need.

There's good stress (like a birth of a baby) and bad stress (oh, where do I start?), but did you know that ALL stress, whether good or bad, can take a toll on your body?  Yogi Baba Prem shares 5 tips to deal with the negative effects of stress.

Want your kids to eat healthier, but not sure what to give them?  We have an article that shares some ideas of high fiber, low fat, tasty foods your kids (and you) will love. 

The roasted potato recipe we included has a bit of a twist to it too.  Perhaps not quite as "healthy" but, oh so good!

Salt & Vinegar Roasted Potatoes
 (serves 8)
Original Recipe


Ingredients:

2 lb. small fingerling, multicolored or baby potatoes, halved

1 cup cider vinegar

4 tsp. salt

2 cloves garlic, crushed, optional

¼ cup vegetable oil


Preparation
:

1.  Place potatoes, vinegar, salt, garlic (if using), and 6 cups water in large saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and boil potatoes 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with fork. Drain, and cool.
2.  Preheat oven to 450°F, and coat large baking sheet with cooking spray.
3.  Toss potatoes with oil in large bowl, and spread on prepared baking sheet. Roast 15 to 20 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Calories: 150; Protein: 2 g; Total Fat: 7 g; Saturated Fat: < 1 g; Carbohydrates:  20 g; Cholesterol: 0 mg; Sodium: 80 mg; Fiber: 3 g; Sugar: 1 g
